Walter Kuhne

- Walter Kuhne takes over the management of the extruder company Battenfeld in Siegburg

 

1960

- Delivery of industrial film line in 2.000mm width within Germany

 

1965

- Presentation of the first flat-film line for the production of PS drinking cups

 

1966

- Presentation of the first sheet line in 1.600mm working width for the production of ABS suitcases

 

1969

- KUHNE presents the first KUHNE feedblock (disk design)

1970

- Walter Kuhne takes over the whole company Battenfeld

- Presentation of the first line for the production of lucobit film-sheets (bitumen) for membranes

 

1972

- Construction of the first line for the production of sheets out of high-molecular HD-PE and PP

 

1974

- Delivery of several 2- and 4-layer coex-lines for the production of multi-coloured shopping-bags

 

1975

the new building of Kuhne GmbH

- Walter Kuhne GmbH moves from Siegburg to the new production site in Sankt Augustin

- Presentation of a complete extruder range with the specification K 25 – K 150 in 24, 30 and 33 D length

- Kuhne Anlagenbau GmbH was founded

- Presentation of the first machine for dimpled sheet in 3.300mm width

- KUHNE presents the first water-quench-blown-film line for medical applications

- Presentation of the first machine with for shrink-sleeves in 5-layer design for PET films in combination with a biaxial recking-line

- Presentation of the first sheet line for the production of automotive tanks

- New high-speed-triple-bubble-facilities (>300m/min)

- Walter Kuhne – founder of KUHNE - passes away at the age of 87

 

2007

- KUHNE develops together with LANXESS a surface-conception for protection sheet

 

2010

6 WQB7-1500-2 Röntgen

- First large-sized water-quenched-blown-film-facility (up to 1500 mm DF and 2200 lbs/h)

- Presentation of a flat-film line with a twin-screw extruder without pre-drying for the processing of PET flakes

- KUHNE introduces a new, decentral fed 3-layer blown film head with improved IBC system and optimized layflat

7 TB11-700 VRWA 1

- First eleven-layer-triple-bubble-facility

- During the K show 2010, KUHNE presents the world-wide first 11-layer triple-bubble blown film line

- KUHNE develops the MAXIMIZER cooling ring LN (long neck) for LDPE films

 

2011

- KUHNE supplies a coextrusion twin-screw line for the production of PET sheet without pre-drying and PE inline-lamination

 

2012

- Delivery of the 75th feedblock lamella-type for the production of barrier-films up to 11 layers

Barriereadapter 68

- Delivery of another 9-layer blown-film line for the production of high-barrier films for an Italian customer

- KUHNE presents the flexible 5-layer blown film line for barrier and pure PE film sheets
